Oqera - Company Overview

Oqera was founded by Aqeel Merchant and Moosa Khan, two people whose fragrance instincts, by most measures, had no reason to agree. One gravitated toward structure. Leather, smoke, dark timber. The other moved through warmth: oud, amber, the kind of dry-down that settles slowly and stays. Rather than resolving the tension, they let it become the point. Conversations became tests. Tests became trials. Trials, over eighteen months, became Oqera. A house shaped not by compromise but by contrast held in deliberate balance. The oils that form each composition are sourced from France. The concentration across every fragrance is 30%. These are not marketing decisions. They are the standards the founders set at the beginning and have not moved from since. The house did not arrive quickly. It was shaped through patience and held to a standard before anything was released.

Oqera was not found in a dictionary or borrowed from a tradition.

It was constructed from the founders' own names, letters drawn from Aqeel and Moosa, interwoven into a single identity that belongs entirely to the house.

The materials that form an Oqera fragrance are sourced from France, the same origins that supply the world's most demanding perfumery houses. The decision was made once, at the start, and has not changed. Every composition is built to a 30% oil concentration. Not the industry default. A deliberate choice, made because a fragrance built to last should actually last. It settles into the skin with depth, wears through the day without fading, and does not ask to be reapplied.

Every note is intentional. Every ingredient is deliberate.
Leather, oud, amber, woods. Each one selected for what it contributes, not the space it occupies. A composition that opens with clarity, deepens through the heart, and settles with intention.
